Yet another absolutely ludicrous time that I never expected to achieve. I had been grinding for 7 hours, hoping to tie SnipersEnd's 45-second record, when I got this. Albeit, a few of those hours were spent experimenting with actually going into the building at the start, but still, this took me almost as much time as my 38-second Presidio record did. I never thought another Rainbow Six: Vegas solo IL would get under 40 seconds, to be honest, and I certainly didn't expect it to be either of the Kill Houses.

I think the difficulty of Kill House - Redux is roughly on par with Kill House for speedrunning. While the enemies in Kill House seem to be *much* more lethal, the enemies here have more variable pathfinding because of some changes to the map. This results in a lot more RNG-induced restarts.

Breakdown:
Execution: As good as it needed to be. I definitely could/should have died to the 3 enemies lined up at the end, but I didn't! Those enemies killed me in *many* other attempts, and RIP'd a handful of ≈45-second potential runs, so I'm pretty fortunate to have squeaked by there, despite being prepared for them.
RNG: The best I've ever seen on this map. *All* of the enemies in the final spawn were on the ground floor, which is extremely rare. Plus, I didn't have any stragglers in either zone. I had exactly 7 enemies at the start and exactly 8 enemies at the end, and they all came directly for me. Again, this is extremely rare. I'd say that 80% of my attempts ended with 1 or 2 enemies in places I couldn't see, like at the start of the map or running around on the catwalks.
In this video, I showcase an attempt where I got 12 enemies in the first zone. I could imagine similar spawns having pretty good potential, but even then, it'd be challenging to beat this time. If it's possible to get *all* 15 at the start, then that could definitely beat this time.

All-in-all, I'd say this is another fully optimized IL, along with Roof, Presidio, Kill House, and Streets - Redux. SnipersEnd can probably achieve ties on some of these maps by playing on PC, but I think he'd need to play on Xbox & utilize the headstart glitch (which saves up to 3 seconds) to actually beat most of them.

For what it's worth, I also tried routing *through* the building at the start instead of waiting with C4. This was challenging, but not impossible. I got a handful of low 50s from doing that, but I don't think I ever broke into the 40s. You can actually get down to 8 enemies from the building spawns alone, and being on the catwalks gives you nice visibility, but I was usually stuck waiting because enemies that weren't already on the second floor took a lot of time pathfinding there.

Sidenote:
I'm not exactly sure why, but I vastly prefer the AUG-A3 over the M8 and Tavor on this map, despite using the M8 on Kill House, and despite telling SnipersEnd a few days ago that I'd probably never use the AUG again haha. I initially started with the Tavor because it seemed ideal for a close-quarters map, but I quickly realized it wasn't accurate enough to hit some of the trickier shots -- like on the catwalk or the rappel across the map. The M8 was mostly doing fine, but I was reloading far too often and single shot mode was having stopping power issues. Surprisingly, it wasn't until I started routing through the building at the start (which is extremely tight quarters) that I realized I needed the AUG.
If I had to guess why, I'd say it's because I need to reload far less with the AUG since I tend to pop single-tap headshots or double-tap body shots with it. That also explains why it worked so well for me on Presidio. Either that, or I'm just subconsciously picking whatever weapon best suites my play style on any given day; who knows...!
