This first-person adventure game's setting is almost entirely restricted to the confines of your broadcasting booth. Your producer, Penny, is on hand to cue up incoming calls and assist in your life-saving operations, but ultimately, it’s up to you to maintain the music, roll out the ads, and above all, guide each endangered caller to safety.

The game shines in its wacky charm, balancing an unsettling premise with an upbeat, tongue-in-cheek humor that truly grabs your attention. The stakes are high with the survival of callers hanging in the balance based on your advice. From guiding someone through a perilous corn maze to aiding another in hot-wiring a car for a quick escape, you'll find yourself in some nail-biting scenarios. Successfully guiding a character to safety is undeniably satisfying, even if the execution can be a bit muddled at times with unclear cues leading to some regrettable casualties.

While Killer Frequency brings a unique blend of dark humor and horror, its gameplay might not dazzle everyone. Controls can feel somewhat clunky, especially when you're required to press small buttons or highlight specific objects. And visually, the game isn't a show-stopper with its intentionally dreary setting and block color style.
