Killing Floor 3 Beta - Errr it's definitely different?
Trying out the closed beta of Killing Floor 3
Enhanced Enemy Design:
The game features up to 48 distinct Zeds (zombie-like creatures) per match, each equipped with unique attacks and advanced AI. For example, Crawlers can traverse ceilings and walls, while Husks employ jump packs to flank players, increasing the game's strategic depth.
Specialist System Overhaul:
The traditional perk system has been replaced with a "Specialist" system, offering six unique characters, each with distinct weapons and abilities. This change aims to provide more specialized and varied gameplay experiences.
Advanced Movement and Combat:
Players now have enhanced mobility, including climbing ledges, dodging, and sliding, allowing for more dynamic combat scenarios. The game also features vertical map designs to accommodate these new movement options.
Improved Gore and Realism:
The M.E.A.T. (Massive Evisceration and Trauma) system returns, delivering more realistic and dynamic gore effects, including location-based damage and mesh deformation, enhancing the visceral experience.
Expanded Arsenal and Customization:
Players can access a wide array of weapons, each customizable with various mods and gadgets to suit individual playstyles. This customization extends to specialists, allowing for tailored combat approaches.
Release Information:
"Killing Floor 3" is scheduled for release on March 25, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A closed beta is currently underway from February 20 to 24, 2025.
