This glitch is pretty hard to implement. You need to time it just right; best done in slow motion (aka: Zed time).

Holster the crossbow after firing a shot and during that time, press the zoom key and switch to another weapon immediately. The result is your selected weapon has the same range as a scoped crossbow. DO NOT PRESS THE IRONSIGHT/ZOOM KEY FUNCTION AGAIN OTHERWISE, THE GLITCH WILL BE FIXED.

This zoom glitch is very beneficial as one can use dual wielded pistols to kill zeds at longer ranges.
