Killzone Mercenary: PS Vita OLED vs LCD (Overclocked & Unlocked FPS)
Killzone Mercenary remains one of the most impressive shooters on the PS Vita, but how does it play in 2025 across the two models? In this video, I compare the OLED PS Vita 1000 and the LCD PS Vita 2000.
Here’s what I tested:
OLED Vita (1000): Locked 30 FPS without overclock, but can dip under 30 without tweaks
LCD Vita (2000): With an overclock and unlocked framerate, performance ranges from 38 to 50 FPS
Both Models: Overclocking allows a stable 30 FPS experience
Overall, the OLED looks fantastic with its deep blacks and vibrant colors, while the LCD can push higher frame rates when overclocked. Both provide a great way to experience Killzone Mercenary, but the performance edge goes to the LCD when unlocked.
