Part 8 - The Destroyer
We are near the end of the game now, and our objective is to infiltrate a Helghast base, and find the ultimate weapon they are planning to use on the humans. The base is built into the side of a cliff, and heavily guarded. We need to destroy some power cells to get inside, and do our best to start out stealthy, but it's not long before everyone is aware of our presence. We make it inside, and Echo follows suite. She needs to hack a terminal, and we need to defend her, by taking out waves of enemies. This takes a couple of attempts, but eventually we have a successful hack. Just then, the man we've been chasing, Tyran, shows up, and we have to battle him. He has shields, and weapons on his side, but we are a badass super soldier with our owl, so we take him out, and seemingly put an end to things. Echo and I escape, and destroy most of the imposing tower ships floating around, but there is one more we have to ascend and shut down. We climb and fight our way to the top, only to find the grand architect of the Helghast army, and shut him down. However, it turns out our closest ally had other ideas, and Sinclair, who was like a father to us, betrays us and cuts us down here at the end of our journey. The enemy is destroyed, but there is one final piece of business to take care of, which we will see out, next time.
