Part 13 - Avery's Descent
We pick up with Nate and Elana in New Devon, still in search of both Sam, and clues to Avery's treasure. We navigate the flooded terrain in attempts to get to Avery's manor, but end up at Thomas Tew's where we find a disturbing scene with many of the founding pirates, all dead around a banquet table. Elana and Nate search for clues, and determine that Avery and the Tew poisoned everyone else so they could keep the treasure for themselves. We head out and follow Sam's trail, and end up fighting off more Shoreline soldiers in the process. We eventually find a hidden passage thanks to a bloodied globe, and begin Avery's Descent, both underground, and into madness. Down in these tunnels we find very macabre scenes with body parts hanging from the ceiling, and exploding mummies that act as traps we have to pass. Even down here isn't safe from the Shoreline onslaught, as we fight through more, to get to our next puzzle to solve. Once we are in the clear, we decide to take a break before the next big event takes place, and will continue to find our way out of here, next time.
