Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (whew, that's a title...) is the official tie-in game for the movie that it is based on. There are of course some differences to how events play out, but it mostly follows the same plot. You play as Jack Driscoll as you're trying to survive on Skull Island with a handful of other people, like Hayes, Ann Darrow and Carl Denham. Carl is here to make a movie and is constantly using his camera to film things, many of the decisions he makes is based on what would make a good shot for his movie. However, that ends up having disastrous consequences for the rest of the crew and Ann gets taken by the giant gorilla known as King Kong. Now the survivors must try to rescue Ann while staying alive themselves. But that is no easy task, as Skull Island has more dangers than just King Kong. The island is full of gigantic insects, hungry dinosaurs and other nightmarish creatures that will try to kill you any chance they get. The natives of the island are no friends of yours either, as they were to ones to give Ann to Kong and are still trying to hunt you down. In the meantime, you must also play as King Kong himself to protect Ann from all the previously mentioned creatures from making her into their next meal.
