It's kind of funny. I went through and did the default on the Fighter, then I noticed the option for difficulty and looked into it.

I've played through all the characters prior, my favorite ranged is the Archer, my fave melee is the Fighter. While not as strong per say, the Archer can get out a lot of attacks, which can be good for stalling opponents, hitting objects, etc. The Mage is setup in a way that you have to be close for it's max damage, while also being slow. So kinda lost interest in that, also don't like what it turns into later I think at like lvl 5.

Melee is fine on both the Fighter and Cleric, but the Dwarf is eh. He's stronger it feels like, but his slower speed on attack isn't doing him much favors. Better then you'd think, the shield can be clutch at times, though I am uncertain how it mechanically works, whether something I did triggered it, or just a % chance.

The hardest boss is the knights, either one is bad, though obviously double is worse, but at that time, I just accept I'm probably gonna bite the dust and abuse the special for immunity and a bit of damage. Last boss is a heavy hitter, but you can usually bypass the big damage and get in a lot of hits. The cyclops can be bad, but that is for a bad reason. His hitbox on the punch is pretty absurd, best to just go in when he's incapable of melee or throwing attacks and running away when he walks into said attacks. The dragonrider is obnoxious when he speeds up, but if you're jumping around, he doesn't seem capable of landing his hits, which is good considering how often they wish to throw it at you.

Stage design is ok. The only two cheesy things with that are offscreen spawn enemies punching you and enemies quickly coming in with ranged attacks. As far as a boss goes, the cyclops melee is mentioned, but the wyvern's quick lunge, which happened in this run, can suck while you're trying to attack it. It happens so rarely, so it's like, "Do I want to keep attacking, or have precaution and add 20 seconds to this fight?"

Out of this collection, this is by far my favorite one.
