I learn some things, a few of them against my will.

Why do some games have mechanics that explicitly go against mechanics you were taught earlier? In this game, most units will reject your money after you've recruited them...except for Knights, which apparently grow stronger with your donations. There is, as far as I can tell, nothing in the game that informs you of this, nor does the game have a manual of any kind.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I still don't know whether the backseating or the mechanic annoyed me more. I think it was more the latter, because rationally I know I wouldn't have found it out on my own.
