During Sora’s second visit to Hollow Bastion, Chip and Dale notice that Hollow Bastion has become covered in darkness after they had sealed the Keyhole at Twilight Town. They request Sora and his friends to go check it out.

Upon landing, they find themselves in the local Marketplace. They run into Cloud while going to Merlin’s house and encounter new Bookmaster Heartless in the Borough. After talking to Cid and Yuffie inside Merlin’s house, they go to the Bailey for another scene where they meet the Gullwings.

They then encounter Armored Knights, which are among the weakest melee Heartless around. At the bottom of the Bailey, and while in route to the Postern, they encounter Morning Stars, which are large Heartless with several strong melee attacks.

After meeting up with Aerith, they continue through the maze-like Corridors, where they encounter Surveillance Robots. They reach Ansem’s Study, and after a scene with Tifa, they talk to Leon.

Finally, they access Ansem’s computer, which transports them to Space Paranoids. Here, with the help of Tron, they regain control of the computer.
