“The World That Never Was” is the home world of Organization XIII and the Nobodies. In this chapter, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and King Mickey finally manage to reach this world and proceed to look for a way to the Castle That Never Was.

As they make their way through the city, they have to contend with Shadows. When they reach an open plaza, they witness a cutscene, and if you’re playing the Final Mix version, Sora has to fight Roxas alone.

Roxas is a strong opponent who relies on melee attacks and rapid movement to get in close. He also has a near-unavoidable cinematic attack that lets you take his Keyblade if you succeed1. After losing a quarter of his health, Roxas sends lasers towards you, which can be avoided by running in a circle around him.

After defeating Roxas, Sora and his friends continue their journey, fighting vicious Nobodies along the way. They meet different Organization XIII members and defeat all of them before attacking the main one, Xemnas.

Throughout this chapter, you’ll find various treasures and items scattered around the city. The chapter concludes with a series of boss fights against Xigbar, Luxord, Saïx, and Xemnas
