Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days - Xion (LV1 Proud) *No Damage*
3I'm going to be blunt here, with the exception of the last phase, I absolutely loathe this fight. Her AI is dependent on how far away from you she is and this leads to an extremely predictable and manipulatable attack pattern. The issue is that you can't actually tell WHEN the attacks come out. She may do two random flips or she may just attack you instantly with zero chance to react to it. She also has this extremely dumb mechanic where she punishes you for blocking. That is not a joke, if you block, she retaliates instantly with a near unavoidable attack.
0:00 First Phase
The best way to fight this phase is to just run and let her spam the flying move. You can easily get off one combo before it and two combos after. Be ready to always attack her the moment she leaves the ground because she has the ability to heal if you don't interrupt her.
1:09 Second Phase
This is honestly one of the easier phase in my opinion. Like before, Xion's attacks are based on your distance so you want to keep close to her to force her into using the physical combo. Since the move is very hard to react to, you want to glide around her so the first two slashes whiff. The combo ends with her doing this slow backflip that gives you a decent amount of time to attack her. If you are too far away, she will do Ragnarok which you really cannot counter or punish in anyway. Do not let her use this move when she is too far before two bars of health or else she will use her heal during the Ragnarok and you won't be able to stop her.
4:35 Third Phase
Remember how I mentioned during the six heartless mission about the dive bomb? Yeah, this is the fight I was talking about. I absolutely hate this phase and I have no clue how your supposed to safely attack her. She has a tiny bit of end lag after her attacks but it's unreliable and she will sometimes just immediately attack again with zero way to predict it. The only way I could safely attack her was to just fly in the air and use Ultimate Gear's dive bomb finish to hit her during the small end lag. You need to be as safe and cautious as humanly possible and don't be greedy. Only go for a dive bomb if you are absolutely sure you won't get sniped afterward. Also, always be ready to knock her out of the air when she does the heal once she is down to about two bars.
8:57 Final Phase
Easiest and best phase by far. One VERY important thing I want to note about this phase because it messed me up while trying to do this. Do not under any circumstances come into this fight with the perfect block ability. Her physical attacks are designed to push you back so the rest of the attacks can be blocked and perfect block ruins that by making parts of the combo whiff. I would say to just not block frame perfect to not trigger it but that doesn't work either. Her first slash will sometimes whiff and your guard lasts just barely long enough to block the second hit if your guard is near-frame perfect.
Once you get Xion to about half, she will start using her two DMs. Yes, she has two separate DMs and they are both easy to avoid and easy to predict. Her DMs are telegraphed by the vortex in the middle of the arena trying to suck you in and which DM is telegraphed by the spell. If the spell is Thunder, then it's going to be the holy DM which can be avoided by quickly gliding into Xion before the light pillars begin. It seems like the pillars will never appear wherever you were when attack began so you want to both start and end the move in the same exact spot. The other DM is telegraphed by a Gravity spell and is easily dodged by just flying into the wall until the explosion ends.
