This is the closest thing to a super boss this game has and it's pretty easy. The Dustflier only really seems hard on the surface because it does a ton of damage and has crazy high defense. Neither of those matter though since its attacks are easy to avoid and you can use critical hits to get around its high defense.

After beating the story, you gain access to the two best pieces of equipment in the game. Zero Gear is about the same strength as Ultimate Gear+ but it profits far more off of Sight Units. It's also much faster in the air then other keyblades with the same combo as the animation is faster then usual. You'll also gain access to the Critical Sun accessory which is a much better version of Critical Ring and gives you the ability to critical with any attack. With the exception of some timed missions, this should be your setup for the entire post-game. Zero Gear with Critical Sun just far outclasses everything else in the game.

The Dustflier has an incredibly simple AI that takes very little effort to deal with. Simply put, he will do a shockwave and then do one of three attacks that you can hit him afterwards. That is ALL the fight is! After every shockwave he will either do a charging attack, a spinning attack or a fireball attack. Don't even try to attack after the shockwave because the shockwave itself is not a hitbox, the ground is. The shockwave graphical effect is just used as an indicator to show where the floor can kill you. That really is all there is to say about the Dustflier itself because it's just a regular enemy reskin with really high stats and a couple modified moves.

One thing that makes this fight a bit different from others are how the enemies work. Usually bosses with enemies have only a limited about that you can deal with first before the boss but you can't here. As far as I can tell, the Shadows are unlimited. This means you have to be wary of them and watch where you land because they can sometimes snag you after you land a combo.
