I would have had this up long ago if not for the darn intro. Seems like Square Enix don't want their intro to 3D going up or something. I'm not sure. But anyway, here we are at last, every cutscene in Kingdom Hearts Dreasm Drop Distance will be going up on my channel in parts just like I did for Birth by Sleep. Enjoy.
Both stories are being covered chronologically.

In this part we see a quick instance of First Person Perspective used for the first time in a Kingdom Hearts game. It's the first of many well done examples. It's nothing special but it's really cool and aids the narrative quite nicely. We then join Sora and Riku at the start of their quest which is explained via flashbacks. They end up in Traverse Town and meet up with the cast of the exceptional DS game, The World Ends With You.

For those who don't know, Neku Sakuraba and crew are from a Square Enix game on the DS, titled "The World Ends With You". It was a rather unique, popular game that was met with much critical acclaim. It features the loner protagonist Neku, who prefers to be alone and listen to music, detached from other people, who he views as a nuisance. The events of the game forces him into a "Reapers game", where he has to figure out and complete the tasks given to him within a set time limit, all while fighting for survival. The catch? You need to work perfectly in synch with a partner in order to fight effectively enough to survive. This is where Shiki, Joshua, Beat and Rhyme come in, but we'll see more of them in the next video.
Overall, The World Ends With You is one of the best DS games out there. I'd highly reccommend it.
