A continuation of the summary of Kingdom Hearts II, in my series aimed at those people who ask "What is Kingdom Hearts?" Once the next video is uploaded I'll start uploading all the Kingdom Hearts 3D cutscenes.

So this video covers most of Kingdom Hearts II. Sora and friends continue their quest fighting the heartless and Organization XIII as they search for Riku and King Mickey, meeting old friends and making new ones. I made a little music sequence summarizing all that nice and concisely. I know, it's not perfect as some parts are too concise and some are too long. Still, I did pretty good overall. (Yes, Halloween Town is missing. Honestly though, will anyone miss it?) None of it is really relevent to the plot altogether, probably this games biggest weakness, but I like it anyway. All part of the charm.

Meanwhile on Destiny Islands, Axel appears and tries to kidnap Kairi. He's gone rogue and only wants to see Roxas again. To that end he attempts to kidnap Kairi so he can use her to turn Sora into a heartless. The attempt is foiled by Pluto and a man in a coat who offer her an escape route.
The corridor of darkness leads her to Twilight Town with Hayner, Pence and Olette. It isn't long before she's friends with the trio. Sora arrives at the Town shortly afterwards. Second in command of Organization XIII, Saix, meets with him while looking for Axel. He warns Sora of Axel's intentions before leaving a cryptic warning: "You don't want to end up like Riku."
Sora finds Hayner and pals who explain that Kairi was kidnapped by Axel anyway while she was talking with them. While Sora is sad he knows that if anyone can find her, he can.

While sorting through the computer in Hollow Bastion, they find King Mickey at last. Well, he finds them really. Just as Mickey explains the truth about Ansem, The castle and the city are attacked by swarms of heartless, nobodies and more heartless. Now for the part with the text, it's a lot to take in at once especially with more exposition going on in the background. I expect you will need to pause once or twice to read it through. Sorry, but I'll post the information here:

- Ansem was the wise and benevolent ruler of the world of Hollow Bastion.
- Hollow Bastion was once known as Radient Garden.
- The Ansem we knew from KH1 was not Ansem.
- He was Ansem's apprentice. A man called Xehanort.
- Xehanort began experiments on hearts, including the heart of the world itself.
- Ansem the Wise realised the dangers of these experiments and cancelled them at once.
- But Xehanort continued the experiments anyway.
- In revenge he stole Ansem's identity, knowing what a discredit he would do to him.
- He misguided 5 other apprentices and together they cast away their own hearts in the experiments.
- His rash actions allowed Maleficent to envelope the world in darkness, turning it into the Hollow Bastion we know.
- Xehanort and the 5 other apprentices became nobodies in the process.
- These same nobodies are the founding members of Organization XIII.
- After these events the real Ansem disappeared, changing his identity as well while plotting his revenge.

After the huge battle for Hollow Bastion/Radient Garden, Axel appears and reveals the Organizations plan: They need a keyblade wielder to slay the heartless. Every heartless defeated by Sora releases a captive heart, which is then sent automatically to amass at the Organizations world, weaving together to create another Kingdom Hearts. Unlike the last one, which was made out of the hearts of worlds, this one is made up of the hearts of people. According to Xemnas, the leader of Org.XIII, when Kingdom Hearts is complete the nobodies will finally regain their lost hearts. That's what the Organization wants, to be complete.

After Sora and Co find a clue left by a strange hooded man, they go to check out Twilight Town. And from the sounds of things, there may be an alternate Twilight Town. One which a certain blond haired nobody might have lived in for a week...
