This is Run 2 to earn the Novice Player, Speedster, and Unchanging Armor trophies. This is NOT a speed run.

The party has reached the Castle Chapel in Hollow Bastion and defeated Maleficent in both her forms. Now, they head through the Lift Stop and take the doorway to the Grand Hall (time 0:29).

A scene takes over as they head up the carpeted stairway (time 0:43). Riku has been taken over at this point. Sora learns where Kairi's heart has been all this time.

After the scenes, Sora must take on Riku, possessed by Ansem, one on one (time 3:21). If you gave Sora all those stat-boosting items available in Beginner mode, this boss should not be too hard even with starting equipment. When he throws his weapon at Sora a la Strike Raid, Sora can block it and send it back at him. The Dark Aura attack is very dangerous, though. Ars Arcanum can be very helpful for finishing him off.

In the midst of the battle, Sora reaches Level 42, gains an item slot, and learns MP Rage (time 9:30). Dang, that MP Rage would have been good to equip before the battle.

At the end of the battle, Sora jumps two levels to Level 44 (time 15:05). Sora learns the Ragnarok ability. Not shown, Donald reached Level 42, and Goofy reached Level 45.

Afterwards, some important scenes occur, laying the groundwork for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts II (time 15:32). Sora frees the hearts of the Princesses of Heart, but it does not turn out well for him. Then, we see that Ansem has more completely taken over Riku ... but not utterly.

Afterwards, we gain control of a Shadow (time 19:27). Interesting. We have to guide this Shadow down to the castle's Entrance Hall. This is pretty easy.

Some brief dialogue occurs as the Shadow pursues the survivors to the Entrance Hall (time 20:40). As the Shadow approaches them, a longer scene takes place (time 21:10). Kairi is able to help Sora after all, but then the group gets mobbed by Heartless.

After the party flees Hollow Bastion, they return to Leon and friends at the Vacant House in Traverse Town (time 22:56). Leon offers some hopeful advice.

After the scene, the party mails Postcards in the First District (time 24:27). For the sixth Postcard, they get an Elixir. For the seventh, they get a Megalixir.

Then, they report to Cid on the upper level of the district (time 24:44). He asks them to find a Navigation Gummi that he stored in the Secret Waterway several years ago.

Avoiding the souped up Heartless on the way, they head to the Secret Waterway (time 25:58). Once there, they approach the sun mural that Kairi is facing (time 26:11). In a scene, Sora gets the Navi-Gummi.

A touching scene takes place as the party approaches Kairi (time 26:30). Kairi gives Sora the Oathkeeper key chain. Unfortunately, it is useless when going for the Unchanging Armor trophy.

Then, in a Final Mix-exclusive scene, we see Riku arrive in the realm of darkness (time 29:24).

After the scene, the party triggers the White Trinity mark behind Kairi to get an Orichalcum (time 31:48).

At the Dalmatians' House, they obtain some prizes for the puppies they have saved (time 32:39): a Firaga-G, a Thundara-G, and a Mythril Shard.

Back in the First District, they give Cid the Navi-Gummi that he told them to find (time 33:40). He installs it in their ship right away.

The party sells off some of their materials at the Item Shop so they can stock up on Ethers, Potions, and Hi-Potions. Next, they will make their way back to the ruins of Hollow Bastion, where Maleficent no longer resides.
