This is video #038 in my playthrough of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, part of the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. This video does not contain commentary. To view the commentary version, click here: http://youtu.be/i6uSeltM1O0
Sora and company have pursued Riku and Pinocchio to Chamber 4 of Monstro. However, while Sora and Riku were arguing, Pinocch got himself into a bit of a pickle. Time to follow him and help him out.
After a little preparation, the party moves on to Monstro's Bowels (time 1:18). Pinocchio has been trapped by the Parasite Cage. I believe this monster is modeled after the Prison Cage in Final Fantasy IX. The Parasite Cage will swing at its attackers with its tentacles. The easiest way to damage it is to shoot Fira spells at its head from a distance.
Midway through the battle, Goofy reaches Level 32 and gets a boost to Defense (time 2:48).
When the Parasite Cage has taken enough punishment, it releases Pinocchio down a hole (time 3:49). Goofy learns the Cheer ability after this battle.
The next matter of business is to jump down the hole to return to the Mouth (time 4:41). The water level in the Mouth goes down a little bit. Unfortunately, it seems Riku has gone off the deep end, and he's taking Pinocchio with him.
After the scene, the party can open the chest on Geppetto's boat to get the High Jump ability (time 5:33). To use this, the party must go to Abilities, select Shared, and turn on High Jump. This will allow them to jump higher than before.
Armed with this new ability, they can leap onto the roof of Geppetto's ship (time 6:35). Behind the mast, they can perform Trinity Ladder at Green Trinity #07 to acquire a Mythril Shard.
Next, they climb up the tower of debris off the port side of the ship. On a ledge, they acquire a Scan-G from a chest (time 7:33).
At the top of this debris tower, they find a Cottage (time 7:55).
To the left when looking inward from Monstro's teeth, they find a newly uncovered plank near the water level where Blue Trinity #14 can be found (time 8:23). Performing a Trinity Jump earns the party two Potions, a Cottage, and a small amount of Munny.
On top of the debris tower where Pinocchio was standing at the beginning of the level, there is a treasure chest containing a Watergleam (time 9:01). This will allow Sora to unlock another summon with the Fairy Godmother.
On top of a debris tower in front of Geppetto's boat, there is another chest containing Dalmatians 73, 74, and 75 (time 9:42). We've almost found half of the little fellows. The Treasure Hunter trophy is earned for opening 100 treasure chests.
Now that they have High Jump, the party heads back to Chamber 6 of Monstro (time 11:08). Getting through is a bit easier now.
While the party is taking out Heartless in Chamber 6, Donald reaches Level 28 and gains a needed boost in Strength (time 11:37).
When the fighting is done, the group can jump up to the ledge where they got Torn Page #2 (time 13:49). No barrel needed now! They can now reach the next ledge, where a chest contains a Megalixir (time 13:58).
They can also reach the ledge at the back of the chamber. When all the enemies are down, Sora can open up the chest to get a Mythril (time 14:59).
After resting on Geppetto's boat, the party uses the debris in the Mouth to jump to the door leading to Monstro's Throat (time 17:02). This is a good place for Rare Truffle juggling.
When the enemies are gone from the Throat, the party can perform Trinity Jump at Blue Trinity #15 (time 17:27). This dislodges some 140 Munny and a Mythril Shard.
The party can use the platforms in the Throat to jump up (?) to the Stomach. The next boss is coming up, so preparation beforehand is a good idea. When the party is prepared, they leap to the Stomach (time 18:32).
Riku is with Pinocchio, and he does not seem to have the best intentions. During the scene, the Parasite Cage drops in again, and Riku flees like a coward.
Afterwards, it is time for a rematch against the Parasite Cage (time 20:02). This won't be quite as easy as the previous battle. The Parasite Cage has added an acidic breath attack to its repertoire. This will cause the victim's health to drop steadily over a short time. It will also swing its cage belly forward. However, it also has a new vulnerability. When it has taken enough damage it will fall backwards, opening its belly. Blows to the black orb in its belly will do additional damage. It also causes it to drop HP balls. Keeping Aero up on Sora will be a great way to survive this battle.
When the battle is over, Sora reaches Level 30, learns the useful Treasure Magnet, and gains another item slot (time 22:58). Also, Goofy reaches Level 33, learns Second Wind, and gains another item slot.
Another scene takes place after the battle (time 23:12). Sora learns the Stop spell, which can stop time on certain enemies for a short period of time.
