This is a playthrough of King's Quest I - Quest for the Crown. This is the remake Sierra made of King's Quest I using the SCI engine for improved graphics and sound. I am using the EGA/VGA graphics driver because, by this point, there is no advantage to using Tandy graphics at higher speeds.

I use the elf's ring of invisibility after obtaining the Magic Chest to avoid a chance encounter with the gnome on the suspended walkway. If the gnome appears he will steal the magic chest and you cannot get it back, turning the game into an unwinnable state. In this game you can use the mouse to "look at" an object by right clicking.
