These two demos show a working interlaced graphics mode being displayed and captured from my Tandy 1000 SX. These show more detail than the normal progressive scan graphics modes by alternating between two halves of an image, each with half the vertical information about the image being displayed at 60 frames per second.

While the IBM CGA card did offer an interlaced mode courtesy of the 6845 CRTC chip, the interlaced mode was broken on those cards as well as those graphic adapters using that chip, the IBM PCjr. and pre *X-series Tandy 1000. The *L-series of Tandy 1000s do not support this interlaced mode properly. The gray line on the bottom of the Pinball Fantasies screen may or may not be visible on a CRT.

The Pinball Fantasies logo demo sets the border color to cyan. If the display drops a frame there will be some jitteriness in the playback for a bit, but on a CRT there is never any frame skipping.
