Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (Nintendo 64) Playthrough - Part 1
37"Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards" was one of my favorite platformers on the Nintendo 64, so I decided to make a playthrough of it.
The jolly fairies of Ripple Star are being invaded by Dark Matter, so the Queen requests one of the star's citizens, Ribbon, to go to find a hero somewhere in the galaxy who can help save their home. When Ribbon lands on Pop Star after being knocked off of her crystal by one of Dark Matter's shadows, she stumbles upon the star's hero Kirby. The two join forces to embark on a journey to collect the crystal shards and restore the crystal to its original state.
After defeating a feline boss in one of Pop Star's meadows, Kirby and Ribbon stumble upon a Waddledee. The Waddledee has become a cyclops and is behaving erratically because one of the Dark Matter shadows has possessed it. Kirby defeats the possessed Waddledee, and he joins Kirby and Ribbon in their quest to defeat Dark Matter and rid it from Ripple Star--not to mention the rest of the galaxy.
After Waddledee joins Kirby and Ribbon, the trio head into the woods of Pop Star to find some other allies for their quest; they come across a painter named Adeleine. Unfortunately, like Wadledee, Adeleine has been possessed by Dark Matter as well. Kirby then has to fight the girl's paintings and then fight her to free her from Dark Matter's villainy. After she has been freed, she decides to join the alliance and tag along in the quest to rid the galaxy of Dark Matter.
