9Crystal Shard # 1: Underneath a green platform. You will need the Cutter + Cutter combination to break it.
Crystal Shard # 2: Immediately after the room with Adeleine, jump on the platform behind you.
Crystal Shard # 3: Obtained after beating the boss.
Boss: King Dedede. What? Already? Yep. King Dedede has two stages: in his first stage he will be on the ground. Just dodge and attack as necessary. In his second stage, King Dedede will begin to levitate. In order to hurt King Dedede you will need to time your jumps right, or you could just cheese him with a Burn + Cutter combo like I did.
Afterwards, King Dedede reluctantly joins Kirby's entourage.
