KIRBY IS BREAKING THE LAW (Kirby's Adventure, NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #kirby
1,369In Kirby's Adventure for the NES, there's an easy glitch Kirby can exploit to trick the game into thinking he has abandoned an ability when he has not, and THAT IS ILLEGAL.
What do I mean by all this? Basically, this glitch allows Kirby to get rid of his Copy Ability, but still keep that ability. The game will display Kirby's status as "NORMAL" while he is still very clearly holding a Sword or something else.
This glitch allows Kirby to keep the Sword, Parasol, Hammer, or UFO abilities even when he takes damage. Let me explain further:
If Kirby has the Sword ability for example, and he's currently in a stage that you've already cleared, you can press the SELECT and START buttons at the same time. Just before the pause menu opens, you will see Kirby is still holding his Sword, but he has also generated a Star, which is what usually happens when you press the Select button to get rid of one of your powers.
But now that the Start menu is open, you can choose to exit the stage. When Kirby returns to the stage select area, the game will show that Kirby is in NORMAL status, but he is still holding a Sword.
In this glitched state, Kirby can retain his Sword ability even if he takes damage, which is normally not possible in Kirby's Adventure. Now you will only lose the ability if you lose a life or if you manually drop the power by pressing Select.
Dropping the power by hitting Select will create a Star like normal, but swallowing that Star WILL NOT grant you the Sword ability again!

This glitch can also be performed using the Parasol, Hammer, or UFO abilities. If you use this glitch with any other ability, Kirby will be able to create a splash animation by hitting the B button which is kinda neat!
