Kirby Star Allies: Guest Star Gooey: Who...Me?
0Here is the last of the first update of Dream Friends, and it is Gooey from Kirby's Dream Land 3, this strange blue blob might seen unintelligent, but he can do all he can if he wants to help out in the adventure.
He did start out in Kirby's Dream Land 3 as a partner to Kirby, but not Gooey has his own adventure, most of his attacks use different abilities, like Burning, Parasol, and Stone, and his tongue attacks provide the Splash effect, and the Burning Gooey can provide the Sizzle effect. With Stone Gooey, he can use special elemental attributes the Stone Ability has, like Curling and Geokinesis.
Gooey's main moves use his tongue for attacking, and like the Whip Ability, Gooey's tongue can grab items, and it can also grab stars and throw them like the Suplex Ability, and Gooey can perform Friend Throw. For air attacks, Gooey will take on the form similar to Dark Matter, the villain of Kirby's Dream Land 3, and he can shoot lasers, and like the Animal Friends from Kirby's Dream Land 2, Gooey has a Protective Bag for his guard.
Like with the previous Dream Friends, some of Gooey's levels are based on different courses from Kirby's Dream Land 3, it is most notable with the first stage and a few others, and most of the courses utilize Gooey's different moves, like grabbing items from behind walls, the Stone Ability, Burning Gooey, and many others, his Parasol does also provide the Splash effect.
Even if Gooey does seem interesting, out of the first update of Dream Friends, I would say that Marx is my favourite to play as, and it is good to see characters from past Kirby games be playable in a side mode.
