Having beaten all 7 of the planets of Milky Way Wishes & claiming each other their stars, Meta Knight uses the stars in space to summon NOVA once more.

Looks like this plot takes place after Kirby's Milky Way Wishes, as Meta Knight was able to revive NOVA after his & Marx's destruction by Kirby.

Meta Knight wants to be the greatest warrior in the galaxy. So in order to complete his training, he wishes to fight the one that already claims that title.

NOVA obeys Meta Knight's wish. He summons a ultra-powerful warrior who was so strong that he had to be sealed away before it was feared that he was too strong for the galaxy to handle. NOVA releases the seal on this being so that he can fight Meta Knight in a 1on1 duel to the death.

He is known as the Galacta Knight, who looks a lot like Meta Knight, except that he's magenta-colored, wields a lance & a shield, and has angelic-but-evil wings to contrast with Meta Knight's devilish-but-anti-heroic wings.

--------------

Fighting Galacta Knight is like fighting a harder version of Meta Knight, as some of Galacta Knight's moves are more aggressive versions of Meta Knight's moves.

Of course, Galacta Knight also has his own new techniques, such as summoning his own Dark Knights to fight Meta Knight, blasting at him with his shield, and shooting a beam that twirls around the entire screen.

Galacta has a lot of health, and he can be pretty tough to beat on the first try. It's wise to have save a lot of points for Healing, as you'll most likely need that skill the most if you're going to stand a chance against this boss. I choose not to Heal to prove that it's still possible to beat him without it, anyway.

--------------

When Meta Knight survives and manages to beat Galacta Knight, he flies into the air and explodes while Meta Knight returns to Planet Pop Star.

With his sword planted into the ground, Meta Knight looks into the horizon of Dream Land, as he has now finally accomplished his goal, nay, his dream, of becoming the greatest, strongest, most powerful warrior in the whole galaxy.

As the following credits play, we see some images of Meta Knight's heroics and badassery throughout Meta Knightmare Ultra. These even show some recycled images dealing with Kirby's side of the adventure.

Just where was Kirby this whole time, anyway? Sleeping? I don't know.

In particular, the last image in the stars shows that Meta Knight has taken off his mask. Unfortunately, we don't get to see his face from there, but we already know at this point that he's just a dark blue Kirby with a mask.

"and more..."

Yep. The ending of Meta Knightmare Ultra is pretty much a different version of Milky Way Wishes' original ending, where both Meta Knight or Kirby had to fight a new final enemy somewhere in space, then return to their home planet to relax, only to reach for the stars once again for more action.

From there, The Arena got unlocked for Kirby. For beating Meta Knightmare Ultra, you "evolve" The Arena into The TRUE Arena!

The original is still there after you select it, as you can choose between the two, but The True Arena is the 3rd & last Arena-based game, as well as the very, VERY final game mode in all of Kirby Super Star Ultra! New Main Menu music accompanies its presence as a reward for you getting this far into the whole game.

--------------

As a bonus, you unlock a video called "Fly! Meta Knight", which is just like the opening of Super Star Ultra, except you replace Kirby with Meta Knight.
