Kit Harington Teases Potential Jon Snow Sequel Series
0Game of Thrones fans were given a glimpse into the potential future of their beloved Jon Snow during the official Game of Thrones Convention on Sunday night. Kit Harington, who portrayed Snow on the hit fantasy series, discussed the character's ending on the show and hinted at a possible sequel series centered around the character.
During a Q&A session with fans, Harington spoke about the ending of Game of Thrones, which saw Snow killing Daenerys and being banished to the Wall in the North. "I think if you asked him, he would've felt he got off lightly," the actor said. "At the end of the show when we find him in that cell, he's preparing to be beheaded and he wants to be. He's done. The fact he goes to the Wall is the greatest gift and also the greatest curse."
Harington also touched on the potential for a sequel series centered around Jon Snow, which has been in the works since June. While he remained coy on the details, he hinted at the possibility of exploring Snow's life after the events of Game of Thrones. "So I think where we leave him at the end of the show, there's always this feeling of like⦠I think we wanted some kind of little smile that things are okay. He's not okay," he said.
This is not the first time Harington has hinted at a potential sequel series. In September, he commented on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, "The only thing I'll say is that I know nothing about it... George is allowed to talk. I would be talking in riddles if I went any further."
Fans of the show will have to wait for official confirmation on the sequel series, but the news of Harington's involvement is sure to excite fans of the beloved character. In the meantime, fans can enjoy the first Game of Thrones successor series, "House of the Dragon," which premiered in August and goes back hundreds of years before the original fantasy series.
