In this video, Mahalo's Chef Eric Crowley shows you how to cut a rondelle from a carrot.
What You'll Need

Sharpened knife* Cutting board
Carrots, peeledc
1. Begin by cutting off the stem and tip of the carrot. You can also use an extra portion of carrot that you have left over from other cuts.
2. Grip the knife with your middle, ring and pinky finger around the handle and your thumb and pointer finger around the hilt of the blade.
3. Hold the carrot with your fingers curled under so that you don't accidentally cut yourself.
4. Making sure the tip of the knife never leaves the counter, run your knife along the length of the carrot with parallel widthwise cuts.
5. Occasionally clear the accumulated carrots away from the blade so that they aren't accidentally chopped again. But be careful not to cut yourself.
6. The resulting pieces will be little circles.
