KOF 2000 on a NEOGEO #23 - Golden Terry! (C+D color)
3Most characters in The King of Fighters 2000 have just two colors--you get one if you select the character by pressing a punch button, and the other if you select the character by pressing a kick button--but some of them have a third color, which you get if you select them by pressing the C and D buttons (heavy punch and heavy kick) together. The characters with a third color are Kyo, Benimaru, K', Terry, Mary, Mai, Whip, Choi, Kim, and Kensou.
Most of those third colors aren't anything to write home about--Mary's is okay, and I like Whip's and Choi's, but I don't enjoy playing those two characters : p--but Terry's is the extra color that really pops out: his red jacket, shoes, and hat turn an intense yellowy gold color, matching his hair.
I thought that was pretty neat, so here I am taking a shot at Single Play with that golden C+D color Terry. : )

I felt a bit rusty with Terry here, actually. He's such a strong character that you can get away with a bit of that with him--and when in doubt, spam that light Burn Knuckle, which is safe from counter-attack even if the opponent blocks it. So, in the end I didn't shame my golden tennies too badly, at least--by my standards, I mean. ; D
