KOF XII - Iori/Ryo/Terry Playthrough
NOTICE: This is the second time I have to upload this crap because the first time I did, the video didn't appear in my channel.
For today's upload, I'm showing a playthrough of the King of Fighters XII.
The King of Fighters XII is a classic example of a game where good graphics DOESN'T matter if the whole game itself is lackluster. Does that mean it's a bad game overall? No, KOF XII does have some appeals but it reeks of simplistic experimentation where they simplify the game formula and made slight changes to see what works and what doesn't in the KOF universe. Actually, I think the only new thing introduced in this game is the Critical Counter where you stun an opponent with a well placed high punch when the gauge is full and proceed to make a custom combo. This feature is pretty cool and if executed properly, you can follow up with a Desperation Attack, dealing massive damage. Other than that though, it doesn't really offer much. You do get a super meter but you can only use it for one super and you can't charge it like you can in KOF 94 and 95 which kinda sucks.
It's not a bad game and its simple control scheme is easy to pick up and play but you can only do so much with this game. With that said, I'm only going to do one playthrough of this game. The next game in the series, KOF XIII, made A LOT of improvements and I'll make a playthrough of that game in the near future but for now, enjoy this playthrough of KOF XII. Oh and I cut off some of the load times to make things bearable.
