81SNK Playmore released in 2004 in Japan a remake of the Neo Geo cult fighting game The King of Fighters '94 on PlayStation 2, celebrating the series 10th anniversary.
The King of Fighters '94 Re-Bout features high definition sprites and 3D elements in stage backgrounds. Each stages take place at different time of the day, with alternated backgrounds and positioning (with changing weather for some). The game also features the arranged OST from the Neo Geo CD version, as well as a straight forward port of the original game.
This short comparison video doesn't include the different stage positioning or time of the day. Some graphic glitches and artifacts appear (because of the emulation) that are not present when playing the game on console.
