This is a worrying video uncovered only recently.

The significance of Kotaku (or Civilization 5, for that manner) is still lost on me, and I'm not actually sure that the site was ever tampered with in a meaningful way. It's perhaps a cover, or worse: A gambit by the original uploader to influence viewers. Nothing more than a vehicle to spread *his* madness. Garth's.

It's possible that the original uploader was actually Garth himself. The possibility is always high that Garth is masquerading as someone else.
If you see someone acting or behaving strangely, especially online, check and make sure they're actually who they say they are. Garth is a master of disguise.

You should know something... Garth Brooks isn't real, not anymore. The country music star went missing years ago, but the incident was quickly covered up and rescinded throughout the media as he resurfaced overnight, unharmed. The world forgot about the disappearance just as quickly as it had occurred.

The problem was, this Garth that reappeared wasn't the same person. Something was off, something was missing.

Now he goes by 'Garth Brook'. The omission of the 's' is as bizarre as it is banal.

A not-insignificant number of people have become victim to a sort of false Mandela-effect. They're recalling that the 's" in Garth Brooks never existed, and that it has always been Garth Brook. This is simply wrong, and any glance at a Garth Brooks album would prove that.
At least that's what I thought.

As it turns out, many people are uploading pictures/videos to social media showcasing their 'Garth Brook' CD's, movies, and tapes. As if the 's' was truly never there. In one video, a woman shows her father's copy of 'This is Garth Brook Live', a 1992 VHS that showcases over a dozen of the legendary country music star's live performances, and includes interviews with himself and associates. Clearly shown, exaggerated even, is the missing 's' on both the cover and rear of the sleeve.

Keep in mind that this is no trick of the light; It is a real and conscious spread of misinformation. I can't help but obsess over how bizarre it is to highlight the fact that only one letter is missing. To perpetuate such a simple falsehood, for what? To what purpose?

These videos get passed around quickly before vanishing. Sometimes the uploaders vanish as well. Some people notice, some people don't.

Don't fall for his tricks.
