"Ubi caritas et amor" from Koudelka
by Maurice Duruflé

This is originally a choral piece from "Quatre Motets sur des thèmes grégoriens," based on a Gregorian chant. I know it from the PS1 horror RPG Koudelka, where it plays during the credits. It's the only piece on the soundtrack not composed by Hiroki Kikuta, who also wrote and directed the game.

I reduced Duruflé's original choral sheet music to make it playable by a solo pianist, then changed a few parts to better match Nick Ingman's arrangement from the game.

The hymn is in Latin and the title means "Where charity and love are" (God is there). I included the lyrics in case anyone wants to sing along, but I put them above the staff because I thought it looked too crowded for piano solo to have the words in the middle.
