Sporadic loss of contact with both unmanned and manned flights recently has prompted me to look into launching a series of polar communications satellites.
The first two, GEOS 1 P1 & GEOS 2 P1 are the subject of this episode, Once in place they will enable the signals from the equatorial orbiting four way network to be spread over a much larger area and hopefully reduce these gaps in signal to a minimum.
