Early Access is a formerly Patreon-exclusive series where I take a very brief look at games that are still in development, whether it's an alpha/beta build, early access, or just has DLC in the works. This will give me a chance to highlight and showcase stuff that I think is neat, interesting, or weird that I ordinarily would not yet by the standards of the regular Kumite Corner videos. I have decided that I will move these videos to general release and come up with something new if I ever get any Patreon subscribers at all.
Mutant Karate Canary is a fighter which currently has a demo on Steam. It has an aesthetic based on 80s/90s Saturday morning cartoons, specifically anthro-based ones like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The game has now shifted to a turn-based fighter, which may or may not be your speed (literally), but older demos are still available which feature the old playstyle. This video is a representation of how the demo played as of February 5, 2023.
