Kunio-kun: The World Classics Collection (PS4) offline menus & 1P gameplay
Going through the offline menus and just a selection of the emulated NES and Famicom games in Kunio-kun: The World Classics Collection on PS4; it is available through the Japanese PSN store. (I'll have individual game play videos of each game in the collection later in this play list!) Time stamps:
0:00 - the game's icon and info page in the PS4 cross-media bar
0:25 - main menu
0:27 - Settings menu
0:30 - unlockable avatar menus (these are used just for online play or match-making, I think?)
2:00 - selectable game background (border) graphics
5:00 - display settings (you can set "Scan lines" here, but can't actually see them in the preview screen)
6:30 - Controls setting; I remapped the A and B buttons from X and O to Square and X--easier for me to press them both together that way, NES-style
7:37 - Sound settings (oddity here: background music volume increases automatically while you are on this screen)
7:58 - Language setting (defaulted to English on my US PS4, so had no trouble getting through the Collection's menus--the Famicom games themselves still have their full Japanese text and menus, though)
8:09 - Offline Play game selection and game summaries
13:22 - High-quality Version Changes - the games with a "QualityUp" version list the changes in a screen you get to by hitting Right on the D-pad from their story summary screen--I didn't realize this until midway through going through the game detail screens : P
15:50 - game list sorting options: the default is "By Device"--Famicom, then NES, but I find "By release date" more useful
16:45 - Super Dodge Ball - QualityUp version gameplay (the removal of NES sprite flicker is a huge plus for this game! : D)
17:54 - Pause menu
17:56 - Control Manual (Super Dodge Ball)
18:27 - Controls menu (Super Dodge Ball)
18:36 - Display Settings (Super Dodge Ball) - here you can preview the "Scan lines" setting; and I play all the games here in the "Standard Mode" screen setting
19:34 - Super Dodge Ball - Original version gameplay
20:18 - Double Dragon III - QualityUp version gameplay
23:20 - Crash 'n the Boys Street Challenge - QualityUp version intro and gameplay (I'm horrible at this : P)
27:46 - Nekketsu Street Basket: Ganbare Dunk Heroes - QualityUp version gameplay (I'm also horrible at this ;_;)
32:30 - River City Ransom - QualityUp version gameplay
