This is the new Scavenger mode in Left4Dead 2 - in this mode the Survivors must find 16 gas tanks around the level and bring them back to the generator and keep it filled. For every tank you gain 20 seconds of play time. The clock is constantly running down and it's brutal.

Each team switches sides for up to 3 rounds until one team bests the other in bringing back more tanks.

This is basically Valve's answer to requests for a more fast-paced and frantic game mode.
