Played LM2 when it came out and completed it on Hard about a month after it released. I went back to do another playthrough on Hard because I heard they changed and fixed a lot of things compared to when I played it. It was fun going through the game again and experiencing the differences like the missing ladder at Halls of Malice, a pitless Surtr room, the intended Griffin statue room, and other small details that I can't remember. It felt like they gated a few more things at the Eternal Prison, which was better for a more linear progression.

Three things scared me about the One Finger achievement: Kujata, Echidna, and the 9th Child. Kujata's a bitch as always and that wasn't anything surprising to me. Echidna was my worst fear because I relied on grenades before, and it was nowhere near as bad as I thought once you learned the patterns. 9th Child fight was very frustrating on my first time because phase 3 with the face at the top was taking up most of my health. It was a lot easier this time around because I learned how the Spaulder works. Spaulder's effect will hit multiple times but only when you swing your weapon once. Because of that it's very incompatible with the Vajra. As for the Child itself the biggest wall to get over is whenever it has the power from Anu. There's a very fixed pattern that you can learn and the worst is when Anu and Aten-ra are paired up. The child will go from Anu to Aten-ra, but it's a 50/50 chance to get the hit in depending on where the spinning balls are and if it's safe to get the swing in. It'll shoot 10 spinny balls before going to the next attack so you can plan for it.

It's tough but just keep trying. I took a more safe, patient time in the last phase and it was a good challenge.
