I love this track, it's a major tonal shift compared to most of the tracks and feels a lot creepier than the usual dungeon tracks. By this point in the game, dungeons have become less prominent and the game was a lot more open world, so suddenly being plunged into this dark and haunted laboratory was really unnerving. I love how this track sounds so mechanical and creepy and ominous, but it's still a jam. Shame the boss had a huge difficulty spike though, and slowed down a ridiculous degree.

Fun fact: The elevators in this dungeon are tied to a clock, not framerate, so fast forwarding the game in BSNES doesn't change the time it takes to reach the next floor, the same thing happens with being carried by birds.

I chose to make this new HQ soundtrack upload because all the other versions online just didn't sound quite right, maybe because of emulation or compression. All these tracks were recorded using BSNES with the debug sound test in the Japanese version of Terranigma, the audio is 44.1khz at 192kbps and I carefully balanced the audio on my VU meter; each track ends as smoothly as I can make it with a fadeout after a loop. Youtube uses 44.1khz and the SNES outputs at 32khz so 48khz would make no difference, and I promise no sample in this entire soundtrack comes even close to 192kbps, so this quality is more than good enough.
