This fight sucks. It's not a superboss meant to be overcome through careful planning it's meant to be evaded at all costs.
Each hand has just over 600K HP and will spam crush attack while sending the power gauge through the roof. But they have a weakness to fog so you REALLY REALLY want to be able to one shot them with Lamp Fog 4, Polka's Pact is the only way to do this but it's pretty easy to find in grand cathedral. Vetton isn't much better... actually screw that Vetton is much worse being able to spam Instakill attacks on a cover, or if you're really unlucky and entire row. Surrogate will stop this but after it's used once your only hope is that it misses. Otherwise vetton can bite your party members for both crush and slash damage or respawn it's hands with FULL HP, now you know why I said make sure you can one shot them. Oh and guess what, when you kill Vetton it will Kamikaze and it WILL kill your entire party, the only way to survive with with the skill Surrogate but that was probably already used up and if you somehow scrape a victory out of your ass you don't get anything for winning and you don't even get some pact experience like the reapers give.
The one saving grace is Vetton only has 1.7 Million HP which is still ridiculous but you might just be able to kill him before he kills you... unless you're in the grand Cathedral because then he gains the ability to deal over one million damage in a game where 99,999 is the absolute health cap and it has over 8 million HP while having near perfect resistances to all damage instead of just good resistances... this thing isn't a challenge to be conquered it's an obstacle to be avoided.
