Lasgo is a Belgian electronic music group that gained international fame in the early 2000s. The band was founded in 2000 by producer Peter Luts, who was the brain behind the project, DJ Dave McCullen, and vocalist Evi Goffin.
The name "Lasgo" comes from the Scottish city of Glasgow.

Lasgo made its debut with the single "Something" in 2001, which became an international hit, reaching the top 10 charts in many countries, including the UK, where it reached 4th place on the UK Singles Chart. It also debuted in the top forty in the United States. This song was a characteristic example of the early 2000s trance and dance music, which brought widespread recognition to the band.

Following the song's release and in response to its growing popularity in European markets, a music video for “Something” was recorded at a train station in Prague

The video mainly features singer Evi Goffin, although the other two members of the team also appear.

I PERSONALLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE GREAT REMIX OF "SOMETHING" PERFORMED BY JIMMY GOLDSCHMITZ

Other singles, "Alone" and "Surrender," also achieved commercial success, solidifying Lasgo's position on the electronic music scene. Their debut album "Some Things" (2001), containing these hits, sold over half a million copies worldwide.

EVI GOFFIN
In 2008, Evi Goffin left the band to focus on family life. She was succeeded by Jelle van Dael.

By the time Evi Goffin left, the group had released two studio albums and seven singles - with the biggest successes being: "Something" (2001 – No. 8 – in Germany, No. 5 – in Belgium and No. 4 – in the UK in 2002), "Alone" (2002 – 3rd place in Belgium and 2nd place on Billboard’s "Dance/Mix Show Airplay" chart), "Surrender" (2004 – 6th place in Belgium and 1st place on Billboard’s "Dance/Mix Show Airplay" chart) and "All Night Long" (2005 – 8th place in Belgium).

For Evi Goffin, participation in the Lasgo project was not her debut on the electronic music scene, as earlier in 1999-2000 under the pseudonym Medusa she released a single in cooperation with Fiocco and two singles as part of the project 2 Fabiola.

PETER LUTS
Peter's musical career began at the age of 12 when he got a small organ. Soon after, he bought his first synthesizer and began composing his own songs. He was involved with several bands but quickly realized that his skills and talent would allow him to compose and produce music independently. Influenced by artists such as Depeche Mode and Jean Michel Jarre, as well as the vibrant Belgian club scene, Peter began creating dance music. His first release was titled "Plato" and was an ambient album.

He then met manager Stefan Wuyts, founder of A&S Productions, who immediately noticed Peter's unique talent. His first release at A&S was "Heliac". The track was a big success in clubs across Europe. Of course, the Lasgo project brought Peter the greatest fame, but it is worth remembering that he also produced many tracks as part of the IAN VAN DAHL project.

However, these are just two of many projects Peter was actively involved in. He collaborated with many artists such as DJ Philip, Des Mitchell, and Jimmy Goldschmitz.
His other club projects include Abnea, Heliac, Outrowz, Groovewatchers. One of his earlier projects was Astroline. This project achieved significant success both in Belgium and internationally.

Between writing his own music and working as a DJ, he also found time to remix many international hits, such as Vincent de Moor's "Eternity", several tracks by Ian Van Dahl and Milk Inc, as well as creating great remixes for Kate Ryan, Dee Dee, Delirium, Atomic Kitten, Driftwood, Zornik, Praga Khan, and many others.

DAVE McCULLEN
born David Vervoort in Bonheiden, Belgium is a Belgian music producer, DJ, and musician who was a producer and composer for Ian van Dahl and a founding member of Lasgo.

In 2009, Lasgo appeared on the television program "Eurosong", trying to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Gone".

Lasgo remains one of the most recognizable names on the electronic music scene of the early 21st century, and their songs continue to be popular at parties and on the radio. Despite changes in lineup and musical evolution, Lasgo has made history as a symbol of an era when trance and dance music dominated charts worldwide.
