Last Action Hero - Game Gear (1994)
3Ugh. So I showed the SNES version and it was one of the very worst things ever programmed. I didn't think it could get much worse than this, but that proved me wrong. This set such a low bar, so now it's time to rip on this.
This is worse than the side-scrolling T2 games. There is a one single pixel advantage you have over your enemies melee attacks and you will almost never be on it. If you do find it, you don't really have a reliable way to keep them that way. There's not enough health in the game to survive the pretty much guaranteed hits you're going to take. Your character also has a tendency to go from stand to spring instantly, meaning you overshoot things a lot or you're moving too quickly to stop reliably on the spot you want. THEN you get to platform, and while that isn't horrible, you will absolutely hate rocks falling on you after you've gone through a gauntlet. Then there's the timer...the same issue as the other game.
This is just the tip of things. It's worse than this.
