In this video, we are looking at the new features in Krita 3’s layers docker.

The layers docker has been completely revamped in Krita 3. It now offers many functions to manage your layers using the keyboard only. Even better than that: functions that used to only work on one layer at a time now work with any amount of layers selected, like duplicate (Ctrl J) or merge (Ctrl E). You can now rename layers with the F2 key or change the properties of many layers at the same time by pressing the F3 key.
Among the most important new features, we have the ability to group, and group layers, and to create a clipping group. This is all explained in the video.
On top of that, the developers change the look of the docker to streamline its and to make it easier to use. It can now see more layers at the same time, and use less buttons have been removed.
