Layers of Fear 2 Part 2
0Part 2. Another sequel and another improvement on the formula. I really enjoyed this game, especially since there are so many movie references. It's a blast going through all the acts and trying to figure out what movies are being referred to. I don't recall there being enemies in the first Layers of Fear, so this is a first for the series. You don't really have places to hide, so you just find a path to run away and usually close a door to escape. This a a pretty straight forward and linear experience, but that is far from a bad thing. It tells an interesting story that slowly pieces itself together over 5 acts. I love all the explorable areas and they vary greatly. The concept of the game really allows Bloober to create some very cool places to wander through and not just being locked into the ship, which you do find your way through quite a bit of. The game is a good chunk larger than the first and that means it takes a good while longer to get through. There are also some pretty good jump scares and tense moments. I've played a bunch of great games for October and this is another great one to add to the list. Enjoy another blind playthrough.
