Le Mans 24 - Classic Arcade Racing Game (Sega Model 3 1997)
A classic arcade racing game developed and published by Sega, Le Mans 24 was based on the official racing circuit the "Automobile Club De L'Oest, AKA ACO", and ran on Sega's Model 3, step 1.5 arcade hardware (1997).
The game features a number of highly modified, high end race cars from Nissan, Porsche, McLaren, Mazda, Ferrari, and Mercedes. Here we raced with the NISMO Nissan Skyline GT-R GT1.
Despite being decades old, the boasted state of the art, impeccable graphics for the time, even by today's standards.
The game consists of single racing circuit, with extremely aggressive opponents who will try and ram your vehicle out of the way. When opponents pass you, it takes time away from the clock.
The game boasted day and night cycles, hence the 24 in the title, meaning 24 hours.
