Leæther Strip is a Danish musical project founded on January 13, 1988 by Claus Larsen. It is a one-man band.

This song, "Corpus," is the final track on Serenade for the Dead (1994), a series of compositions conceived as a soundtrack to a fictional film. I used two tracks from the album on my remix video of the silent film, Salome (1923). The song has only one spoken lyric, the introduction: "Nothing really matters when we all are dead."

The subject: the human body in dance, first alive, then no longer alive. The dance of life and the dance of death. The universe and everything in it is based on THE DANCE. We dance without knowing we dance, we are choreographed regardless of our state of mind or body.
