Leap the Dips POV | Lakemont Park - World's Oldest Operating Roller Coaster
49Leap the Dips at Altoona, PA's Lakemont Park is the oldest operating roller coaster in the entire world! First opened in 1902, this side-friction coaster is the last of its kind, still standing and operating thanks to decades of support from enthusiasts and the local community. It might not look like much at first glance, but this coaster provides a truly unique ride experience that's absolutely worth visiting the park for, and it still manages to have a surprising amount of airtime! This piece of coaster history has a fascinating history of its own that's worth looking into, but for now, here's my POV of my first ride on Leap the Dips, as well as a few off-ride shots.
