Mahalo's Windows expert Sean Hewitt explains how to change Windows colors, effects and transparencies.

Windows Colors
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Right click the desktop. Click Personalize then Window color. From here you can decide which colors you want your windows.
 

You can also decide the Color intensity and whether or not it's transparent. You can also choose your own color by clicking the button marked Show color mixer and adjusting the slider bars. You can go one step further by clicking Advanced appearance settings at the very bottom.

From here you can change several options including the color of a hyperlink, the font icons display and the font size.

Window Effects
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Go to the Start menu. Right click on Computer. Click Properties then click Advanced system settings. Under Performance, click Settings. 
Here you'll see all of Windows 7 effects, and you'll be able to turn on and off the ones you do and don't want, including Transparencies.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

You'll be able to choose whether to Enable transparent glass here. If you do not want it enabled, uncheck the box beside it and click Apply at the bottom right of the box.
