Learning Lanayru's Part of the Song of the Hero - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Walkthrough
2After getting the Life Tree Fruit head back to Lanayru Gorge and give it to the Thunder Dragon who will immediately recover from his illness upon eating it. He then teaches you the third part of the Song of the Hero.
Lanayru says that he will have something for you the next time you visit. What he has for you is a mini-game called the Lightning Round that acts basically as a boss rush mode where you can fight all of the bosses in the game (sans Levias & Bilocyte) one after the other for prizes like a Piece of Heart, the Hylian Shield, or varying amounts of rupees or treasure. He also allows you to replay the Silent Realm trials.
After talking to Lanayru & Fi head over to the Thunderhead to learn the final part of the song from Levias.
