Left 4 Dead 2 Intro | VHS Capture Test
The original file was re-encoded from within the games files from. It was then transferred onto a USB stick and connected to the Xbox 360. The Xbox is fed into a VHS via composite cables.
The composite recording is just the signal coming from the Xbox back into the computer via capture device. The VHS, however, was recorded onto the tape and then captured back.
It's interesting how good a tape can really look. But it's all based on source, age, and wear! It's also a neat test of how anamorphic widescreen works with tapes. (Also, I have no idea why the default audio track has no vocals.)
