THE LAST OF US PART 1 DLC: LEFT BEHIND follows the path of Ellie, an immune to the Cordyceps fungal virus, a survivor in a world of constant struggle and danger. Set during the timeline within the original The Last of Us Part 1 timeline, it fills in the gap of time from when Joel was seriously injured and left in the care of Ellie. As Ellie struggles to find badly needed medical supplies, she must traverse an area filled with infected, all the while being tracked by brigands and hunters. During this time, the player is taken back to before she discovers she's immune and meets Riley, her childhood friend who has just become a Firefly.
Riley takes Ellie to an abandoned mall, where the discover new area's and have fun with a carousel, photo booth, arcade, and even have a water fight.
